GAPIMNY supports a vision of racial justice and LGBTQ rights that centers and supports the most vulnerable members of our community, including the struggle for police accountability.
We also recognize and support CAAAV for their long history of organizing against anti-Asian violence, including against police brutality, along with the other work they do around organizing tenants for affordable housing and empowering our youth through leadership development. This is why GAPIMNY has signed a national letter in solidarity with CAAAV and condemning the recent threats and escalating harassment they have received.
In April 2015, GAPIMNY signed a letter in support of justice for Akai Gurley and his family. SeeĀ http://caaav.org/
