Join us as the boys of GAPIMNY once again show our queer Asian colors in the Gay Pride March. Come raise the visibility of queer Asians and Pacific Islanders!
Date: Sunday, June 28
Gathering Time: 11:00am
Gathering Place: 56th St. between 5th and 6th Ave.
Kick Off Time: Shortly after noon
Theme: A Beach Outing in the Heart of NYC
Outfits: Swim trunks, tank top, Hawaiian shirt… but wear comfortable shoes.
RSVP: [email protected]
If you’re planning on marching, it would help us to know how many are marching, and to know to expect you. If you make a last minute decision to march, feel free to join us anyway. Please try to be there by the kickoff time.
It’s summer, and it’s hot, so take care of yourself and bring water and sunscreen. Please be aware that it may not be possible to join the march after kick off, as, in the name of security, the NYPD has said they will not allow it. You might be able to sneak past them, but if you’d rather not risk a run in with the cops (and there have been several in recent years) do join us before we start.
