Asian Americans and Racial Justice: Understanding Ourselves and the Political Moment
Join us in this two-hour, interactive workshop where facilitators Stephanie Chrispin and Dennis Chin will guide participants in examining history and our current political context — with a focus on anti-Black racism.
This workshop will be designed for GAPIMNY members and other queer and transgender API people who are interested and new(er) to racial justice, though all are welcome.
Note: the event was previously titled “Angry Woke Asians,” but a community member pointed out that the word “woke” is African American Vernacular English (AAVV) and should not be used by non-black people. We thank that community member for educating us.
