On Sat. Feb. 27th, GAPIMNY Member-at-large Mike Chen will be leading another socially-distanced guided walk, this time at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.
Founded in 1838 and now a National Historic Landmark, Green-Wood was one of the first rural cemeteries in America. By the early 1860s, it has earned an international reputation for its magnificent beauty and became the prestigious place to be buried, attracting 500,000 visitors a year second to Niagara Falls as the nations greatest tourist attraction. It has 478 spectacular acres of hills valleys and glacial ponds and paths. Come all, let’s pay homage to Jean Michel Basquiat and visit the oldest Sassfras tree.
All members of GAPIMNY and friends are welcome. We will allow the first 15 RSVP’s to join our walk. Please email using the button and await for confirmation from Mike. COVID social distancing and guidelines will be followed.
