Love, Acceptance, and Creating Our Own Narrative
Session one: Sharing API LGBTQIA intergenerational stories.
A virtual story-sharing event from members in the API LGBTQIA+ community. Our panel will consist of two young adults and two parents, sharing their own journey through self-acceptance, living authentically and getting support from their loved ones.
Our Guest speakers:
LGBTQ adults
- Hua – A transgender woman and daughter who was born in a Thai-Chinese family.
- Sunny – A Queer woman, a first-generation Chinese immigrant, an artist, and a passionate educator.
Parents
- Rachel – A Chinese mother of two and the parent of a 14-year old transgender daughter.
- Devki – A parent of a transgender young adult and first-generation immigrant from India.
Our aim is to create a safe space for meaningful intergenerational dialogue. We are excited to have you join us! Your participation will remain anonymous, but you are welcome to submit questions for the panel to address.
