Trans Allyship in a Trump Administration with NYU – Wed. April 11

Join NYU for a workshop on the issues facing transgender women led by LaLa Zannell, of the Trans Women of Color Collective.

Come engage with LaLa on topics of gender, gender identity and sexuality while learning LaLa’s incredible story as a trans woman of color. LaLa spoke at the White House for the first Women’s History Month briefing to include trans women, at the final trans women of color briefing under the Obama administration, and she testified at the first historic Congressional Forum on violence against transgender people. Over the course of this workshop, you’ll learn not only about the struggles that propel LaLa to do her work, but also the ways in which allies can create positive change for the trans community both in and out of the workplace.
