Marsha Aizumi, an Asian American mother, describes how she and her transgender son moved from fear and uncertainty to love and acceptance. Sharing some of her innermost thoughts and feelings, Marsha will describe specific and concrete ways they were able to face adversity and keep their hearts open to each other.
Speaker: Marsha, who resides in Los Angeles, is one the national Board of PFLAG. Marsha is an educational consultant, author of an upcoming memoir being released by Magnus Books called Two Spirits, One Heart and recently was elected to the Parents, Family and Friends for Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) National Board. She believes her journey with her transgender son transformed her into a more compassionate, courageous and loving mother. And this journey opened her eyes and her heart to the amazing LGBT community which taught her the real meaning of unconditional love.
