“As a nation, we have made many strides towards equality—and gay marriage is now a reality. JACL National has resolved to firmly support LGBT rights. However, the LGBT community still lags in terms of total acceptance within the Asian community and many misunderstandings still seem to exist.
On this evening, we are hosting a forum for a serious and friendly discussion on our state of LGBT awareness and support. Our panelists will be Hoshina Seki (NY Buddhist Church), Aya Yabe (PFLAG API), and Phillip Ozaki (NQAPIA).”
