Join us for our first event focusing on the trans and gender nonconforming communities in our “Uplifting Our Communities” series. GAPIMNY’s March GM will be an opportunity to come talk about gender, gender identity and our sexualities with the outstanding Cecilia Gentili. This is an opportunity for everyone to come learn as well and resources and education will be shared throughout our conversation.
About Cecilia Gentili:
Originally from Argentina, Cecilia started working as an intern at the LGBT Center where she found her passion for advocacy and services and after that she ran the Transgender Health Program at Apicha CHC from 2012 to 2016. She currently serves as the Director of Policy and Public Affairs at GMHC. She was a contributor to Trans Bodies Trans Selves and is a collaborator with Translatina Network. That’s for work. For fun, she acts sometimes and loves doing storytelling events where she talks about her life experiences. She is very passionate about advocating for her community, and mostly for transgender women with a Latino background, sex work, drug use and incarceration history.
